Flickering monitor screen

Afternoon all
I've a problem with my PC and monitor, and I'm not sure which it is.

I'm getting the occasional episodes of several what can only be described as subtle bouts of flickering on screen.

They're very subtle, ten seconds or so between them, lasting 5-10 minutes or so.
They're not disrupting what I'm doing, but noticable none the less.

I've updated what drivers etc I can, but it's still happening.

Any thoughts on what it might be ?

I think it's most likely a fault with the video cable between computer and monitor.  Completely disconnect and reconnect.  If the problem is still there then maybe try using a different cable.

If the cable/connections are fine then it could be an issue with the monitor or graphics card.  I don't know if you have another computer or another monitor to allow you to test these.

I had the same problem a while back at 21.45 every evening.  Ever security conscious I started to disconnect from the internet at 21.44.  After two weeks I stopped doing so but have not had the problem since.
