Running electricity to a detached brick built garage

Hi all, I'm thinking of buying a house in Essex that has a brick built garage about 5 meters from the main house without electricity. Can somebody give me a ballpark cost of running power to the garage using local tradesmen or women?

Ballpark is going to depend on where you are.
London/South east will be far more than some northern area's.
Best bet is to ask on a local facebook group. Where local trader can say & you will also get good recommendations for the good ones 👍Life in the slow lane0 -
Save on costs by laying the cable between 2 points yourself and have an electrician to do the connections0

Whilst you could suspend the cable overhead, it probably isn't a good idea.SWA cable run in conduit at a depth of @750mm with warning tape above it would be my suggestion - Putting the cable in conduit allows it to be replaced should you need a bigger cable or it gets damaged. An electrician will advise as to cable sizing and depth.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
