Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers.
It's a lovely sunny morning, if a bit cold. I am off for lunch today with a friend, so no cooking for me
Hope everyone has a lovely day.10 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's a nice morning here, sunny, but decidedly chilly. We've got the heating on for a couple of hours, and our heated throws are now in use in the evenings. Winter drawers definitely on.
Have a lovely lunch Iris.
No plans for today, but I've got plenty of jobs that I can be getting on with.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.10 -
Morning all and thanks Gers for the start. It’s brighter out than it has been though yesterday was very windy.DDad’s hospital appointment was fine though a combination of the Dr running behind and the ridiculous road/parking at the hospital meant that for a 15 minute appt and 40 minute journey (each way) we were out for 5 hours. It too over an hour for me to pick him up and get off the hospital site. 😩
Today will craft work - loads of wood cut and sanded and I can have a nice day painting it.Best wishes to everyone

I fell asleep again. Earlier on I woke to phone my lovely sister in law as it's her birthday. She's two hours north of Brisbane so the time difference is tricky.Yesterday I had a busy morning and a quiet afternoon. Today could be the same. Whilst lying in bed just now I've noticed that the swallows are still here, I thought they'd gone last weekend, they were certainly absent. Now they're back juggling for space on my telegraph wire. Most odd!I'll probably do some shopping this morning as the rain forecasted for the next three days is scary. Best to stock up.I hope that everyone is doing well.9

Morning, it's too dark here to tell what the weather's doing, but at least it's not raining. Yesterday's showers turned into heavy rain most of the day, and it was quite chilly too. We even lit the wood burner, mainly to dry soggy doggy off and his towels. It's gone out overnight so not very warm now.
Today DH has a routine blood test at the gp surgery. Then it's off to the post office to return a couple of parcels and then to the supermarket for the weekly shop. DH will be with me, I usually do it on my own, so expect it to take twice as long but hopefully it won't cost twice as much.
Thinking of our poorlies. Have a good day.
Love to all x

Morning folks. Blimey it was a cold start here but the sun is up, the sky is blue and thankfully that blooming wind has finally dropped. I have certainly had kinder weather for my caravan breaks!
Off home tomorrow and I am dithering about what to take and what to leave in case we are lucky enough to have an Indian summer and I.am tempted back for another stay this season.
Welcome back Ruby and Coxy enjoy the rest of your holiday. Thinking of our poorlies and hugs for all in need xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Morning all, looking a bit brighter today. The wind was absolutely awful all day, and even worse when we went with DS2 to the coast for DGS football, made a bit of a mockery of playing really. The journey there was better than the last time we went though, so that was a plus. As we went more or less from school I made sandwiches etc, but they mainly remained untouched as there is a cafe on site and pizza/ garlic bread was ordered afterwards when we went in to warm up! Waste not want not though as DH has taken some for his lunch, and no doubt DS will polish off the rest. DGD was going to come but cried off due to the cold temp/rain, don't blame her!Tonight DGS has a cross country comp for school,it's at the park up the road. I don't think it's suitable anymore for children running as a lot of areas are left unmowed now and you cant see holes etc. He caught his ankle in a hole and fell last year , but still wants to do itTea will be something from the order yesterday, to cook when I get back. My chest freezer is getting a bit of a build up near the lid that needs sorting.RedCross (((hugs ))) for yesterday.dp1 a family assembly will ease DGD into school gently.Hugs to those in need.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Bright and sunny here for now but with a chill in the air I have yet more washing on the go and will hang it out for a while before the rain due this evening, I have at least another 3 loads to do so hope the weather is better tomorrow.
I slept so well again last night I think that travelling really takes it out of me, I went and laid on the bed yesterday afternoon and got chilly so I put my electric blanket on for a while and immediately smelled electric type burning 😳 I jumped up and turned the socket off and unplugged it, it’s a good job I had not fallen asleep, I have ordered another one and will take that one off and throw it away.
I have to take the dogs out this morning and then go and do a shop as the fridge is looking a bit bare ! We had jacket potatoes with cheese and beans last night which was delish.
Have good days all and take care xx7
