UC claim cancellation

Hello
I started my UC claim not very long ago after splitting up with my husband as I was left with the children. Things have worked out again between me and my husband and he wants to move back in with me because of his salary as he is a high earner I would not be entitled to UC.
How do I cancel/end my UC claim also do I need to give a reason?
Thanks

On your UC account go to report a change then request to close account. Yes give the reason

I have closed my UC claim by clicking the close claim option. As no longer want to claim.
But now in the journal it says highlighted in blue Request Claim To Be Closed. What does this mean has the claim not been closed until UC action it can UC refuse to close
Thanks0 -
It's simply saying that you have requested it, but it hasn't been attended to yet.I can't think of any reason why they would refuse, nobody can force you to claim benefits if you don't want to.0

On any claim there could be actions that need attending to before 'full' closure such as over or underpayments, decision maker actions such as sanction decisions etc.0 -

How will this take to action?0 -
TheShape said:I can't remember if a request for claim closure prevents further payments being released while waiting to be actioned.Hmm, I'm not entirely sure. However as I see it a request for claim closure would certainly be a change of circumstances. In UC Changes of Circumstances apply to the start of the AP in which they happen. In which case the claim will be closed as from the end of the last AP and nothing more would be payable.Has the OP perhaps jumped the gun and requested cancellation too early?Or is there something else going on here perhaps:-door123 said:Her statement is due on 19th Sept is due on 19th Sept and payment on 23rd reported to close claim on 15th Sept. She does not have she has not have sanctions or overpayments or advance.EDIT Just looking back:
You did start a thread back in February stating that your partner had left you and asking could you claim UC.
But then about a week later started another thread about you being migrated from Tax Credits to UC.
You've also started threads asking about PIP and Pension Credit for 'friends', and about Right-to-buy for your 'mother and brother'.
I start to wonder if these are real situations, or hypothetical questions?
