I just checked my credit club credit report for the first time in a LONG time. Under soft searches I have Credit Karma (Ls) (Cr Api) about 4/5 times every single month for the past couple of yrs. anyone else have similar and could shed any light please? I can see other soft searches relating to car insurance quotes and the trans union and money saving expert periodical checks apart from that I haven’t applied for anything that could be relevant. It’s very disconcerting that they check religiously multiple times every month.

Bear in mind that soft searches are only visible to you, they're not seen by any lender who looks at your report.

So it's nothing to worry unduly about.  But soft searches are often carried out either for the purposes of identity validation, or else they're done by lenders who you've had dealings with in the past for marketing purposes.  So if you happen to fit the criteria for a certain lender's current marketing campaign, you could well find letters or emails arriving to say "Hey, great news, you could be eligible for our new low-rate credit card" or whatever it might be.
