In no way would I expect to have to produce receipts for my underwear in the suitcase, and neither would the insurer. Take it with an expectation of having to be able to provide reasonable proof and you should be ok.
I had this years ago - lived in a secure 2nd floor flat with next to no possessions and no contents insurance. Travel insurer queried the details when I left the contents insurer's section blank, and then paid up within weeks without further fuss when told them why it was blank....0 -
