5 yrs guarantee

Looking to buy a new LCD TV, cannot decide between a sly or panasonic. Besides John Lewis, any other seller does the 5 yrs guarantee? Thanks

it seems as far as Panasonic goes it is only the independant retailers doing the 5yr inclusive guarantee deal.
I've just yesterday taken delivery of a Panasonic 32"(TX32LXD70) from John Lewis. Cost on their website is £749 I bought direct from the Edinburgh store for £599. Someone else had done a price check to bring it down. I ordered and paid for it over the phone and it was delivered to me free 98miles away.

was in m&s today where they have tvs for sale.. mostly sonys i think.. anyway all tvs from m&s come with a free 5 year guarantee

John Lewis 5 year guarantee and FREE delivery. We just ordered a Samsung 32 inch for a bedroom for £499 - its the same as the one in the living rooom and the picture is the best I've seen. Better than my Philips 42" for sure.

Oh and for a small additional fee they will set it all up for you with your other stuff, normally I wouldn't bother but I had mine delivered the day I moved house so it was a job saved for me!

Richer Sounds sell them at 10% of the purchase price and their prices can be good.

Loskie do you know if it is £599 in store or do you have to quote where the £599 is currently on offer?

have you had a look at richer sounds? they don't come with a 5 year warranty but they are very cheap to add on (10% off the purchase price) and they will price beat any proven offer.

Argos do a 3 year ones and have an excellent samsung 1080 on offer at the minute for 699

It was a hand written note in store. Someone else had done the price challenge bit and I just phoned the store direct a couple of days after I'd been in and was told that they had matched a local deal. When I was in store all the sales staff were busy hence the phonecall bit.
They would also include the price challenge bit if you bought one of their Panasonic promotional packages. There was a choice of home cinema system, dvd recorder and hard disc recorder. So basically you could knock £200 off the package price. This was Edinburgh store not sure if others are doing this. But you could order from Edinburgh store and insist on the free UK wide delivery. You'll see the pakage deals on the website
