... meaning the checkboxes will be reinstated or that'll be that ? 

It will go back to the normal layout when the current problem has been resolved. But we don't know how long it will take.

Can someone tell me how I find comps that end today as the forum has changed and I can’t see how to do it, I’m on a mobile thank you

You could search by End Date, one day at a time perhaps.
You start off on the Standard online competitions board,
Go to the Search Competitions box on the right hand side above the Quick Links list,
Enter the date you want to search for in quote marks e.g. "11/09", click the magnifying glass.
Scroll down to the Category box and delete all options that appear (including a blank field) until the word search appears then type in Standard and select Standard online competitions. (This step is necessary to remove unwanted sub-boards especially Game over)
Then scroll down and click on Filter.

This should return nearly all comps with an End Date of 11/09 or whatever other date you want to use.
I say nearly all as it won't find any where the date is wrong or not posted correctly.

This should only be a temporary measure until the current problem is resolved when things should go back to normal.

Don't worry! Checkboxes will be back as soon as possible.

Our forum provider is working hard on a fix, they thought they had one, but turned out it wasn't ready (You might have seen checkboxes coming back for a few minutes while we tested).

The new layouts actually have a lot of great features and amazing possibilities, but they're not compatible with the Comps board checkboxes yet.
It's actually been our commitment to keep the Comps Time features in place that is stopping us switching the whole forum over! - apart from this temporary unavoidable visit.

Hi again Compers

The issue should now be resolved and we have switched back to our Old layout. 

As far as I'm aware, this should mean that all Comping tools are fully restored.
Let us know if there are any issues.

While this hasn't exactly been the ideal introduction to the New Layouts, hopefully a positive of this peak behind the scenes lets you know that we haven't forgotten our Compers.
There are a lot of great features coming - with filters and tools to help you find what you want easily. But we're waiting until our existing Competition Time features can also be used.
