Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Quick one from me as I have a bus to catch - DD's van is in the garage to have some new sensors put in so she has my car, I can manage without it as the bus stop here is at the end of the road and there's a very short walk at the other end.
Managed to paint the other side of the fence by the decking after work yesterday, there were a few spits of rain but thankfully not much, the paint only needs an hour to dry enough to keep the rain off. It looks much better and I can put everything back now although I will have to wait for the plants to die back before I tackle the rest of the fence.
SO, I hate printers. I'm sure they smell my fear and refuse to work no matter what I do!
I've put washing out but it looks a bit cloudy - sunshine is forecast all day today so we'll see.
Work has been absolutely manic - photographer on Monday morning and yesterday workmen turned up at 8am to put new sockets in our office so we had to decant and find laptops with the right systems on, it was chaos. Hoping for a calmer day today.
Hoping everyone is well, great news that the little one is home dp1, hope your DDad can come home soon too.
Take care. XX10 -
Morning allGlad to hear little 'un is home DP1 and such a sweet thing to do to leave a cuddly toy for your dad. She's a credit to both of youNothing exciting happening here today except housework. Sun shining at the moment and very windy. We're expecting 30mph winds later so not pleasant so good excuse to stay where I am!Have a good day all x10

Now back armed with coffee.
It seems to be quite a nice morning here, chilly though. Yesterday was the same, but cold when we walked home from the quiz last night. I'm tempted to get a pair of gloves out but once you get into full winter gear you seem to be in it till April next year. A friend is still holding off from wearing socks - mad really isn't it! I don't know what we achieve by doing these daft things!
Nothing planned for today except a blood test at the Dr's.
DP1, I'm so pleased that your dgd is home after all these weeks. Hope your Man and Dad are doing ok.
TA, I'm reading The Figurine as well! I'm well on with it, it's really good. Hope you enjoy it.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can - thinking of our sad and poorly people.
Take care folks.

Morning all, thanks for starting Scarlet. I had an early wake up as DS is helping out a mate with some work, he got picked up at 6.15 ready for a trip to Yorkshire. Well I'm envious of your sun, it was really heavy rain just before I got up!We have a trip to the coast after picking DGS up from school, football of course. I added a few picnicy things on my order this morning for us to eat on the way!@dp1 , that's great news to wake up to - we were watching the England match last night so I didn't get back on my laptop.DH came home from work feeling a bit off and didn't want any tea, but had a bowl of soup later, I had the leftover chilli from the day before. I nipped into town to go to the library and change my books. It underwent a big renovation and relocated for a year into an old C&A store ( remember them ?) but is back now. Another bonus is that the nearest bus stop has re-opened after the road was shut for months due to building work.Right better get pooch out for her walk, it feels a lot colder, brr.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning folks. The wind is still high and yesterday we had a series of short nasty showers. I didn't go out at all so perhaps I'll do that today. My favourite pyjamas are fraying at the ankles so I need to find them again online. The place I bought them from don't have them, I will probably phone the company on the off chance.Have a good day all.7

Good morning everyone
I've just been out to move my plant pots in case the gardener comes to mow my lawns and trim my hedge. Unfortunately it is wet and cold so I think it will be a no show.
So pleased to read that little one is home Dp1, such a relief for you and your DD. I hope your DDad improves.
Today is one year since my DHs funeral so it will be a sad and reflective day, life is so different now.
Thinking of the sad and the poorlies as always
Take care x12 -
Morning folks. It's still a bit windy here but nowt like yesterday's gales. The sun is shining but by heck it feels cold.
Dp1 such good news fingers crossed she is now home for good this time.
Scarlet great minds eh! I have read and enjoyed all her books but if I had to pick a favourite I think it would be The Island.
Another day of sloth here. My little recce to the blackberries revealed there are still.a lot of berries but so tiny they weren't worth picking. None of the big juicy ones we used to pick.
Have a good day folks and hugs for all in need. Take care and wrap up warm. Xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -

@dp1 - great news, hope your DDad improves too.Yesterday was horribly cold and damp - had the log fire on all day, it’s position means it gives a bit of heat all over (it’s a strangely configured house) as opposed to in one room.Today - some wood cutting and sanding for my craft shop before more rain. And a hospital appt for DDad in Worcester - he’ll drive part way but isn’t yet up to the full journey there and back.Take care all

Morning, heavy rain here atm.
Nothing planned except dog walking between the showers.
No idea what's for dinner tonight, it's one of those days, will wait and see what pans out.
Dp1, wonderful news, I hope little one continues to improve, she's such a treasure. How lovely of her to give your dad a cuddly, so special.
Redcross, hugs
Love to all x9 -
Morning all
Back from a wonderful holiday we left the island at 6 yesterday morning and got in the door around 8 last night due to delays etc, it is lovely to be home and see DD and the puppers and to sleep in my own bed, we had a quick curry delivered and were in bed by 9.30 I slept like a log which is very unusual for me, now having a decent cuppa and will get some toast and marmite after it’s the small things you miss !The island was lovely as usual very hot and relaxing, we swam in the sea every day and did lots of snorkelling I saw a sea snake one day 😳 and very quickly swam the other way, lots of lovely dinners out and a few walks through the pine forrest.
Our hotel owner ( very small hotel) was so lovely as always she has invited us to stay with her at her winter house in the canneries in the winter she said it’s still warm enough to swim etc and we would only need to pay for flights and a hire car, it’s something we will definitely consider, when we left she hugged us and we all cried a bit, she said you are my family now ❤️Hope everything has been ok here ? Will have a read back at some point.
Have good days all and take care xx7
