Capital One - Payment this month?

I have a DD set to “pay in full” every month. On the Capital One web page it tells me it was due on 4th September, nothing is showing on my online banking app, anyone else found this? Today Capital One have sent me the notification saying next one is due 2nd October. Is it worth me asking at my bank why the payment has not gone out? I don’t want to get charged interest for not paying, hence my DD in full.

If it was a nil outstanding balance then there would be nothing to take by DD.Or, did you manually pay off the outstanding balance from the statement before the DD was due to be paid?Do Cap One have a live 'state of play' with your card on its website and/or app and does this show any payment(s) made to your account (including the DD)?Don't forget any DD should be covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee, so if there has been an error your bank should correct it.0

Shame it has happened at this time, since it has a plane ticket on for next month, a lot more than it would normally have but rather than use my bank debit card (the money is in there for the DD when CO take it) I just used the credit card for the added extra insurance CCs give over debit cards.Paddle No 21:wave:0 -
Update:
I called both my bank and Capital One. The bank had not received a request for payment in September but confirmed the DD is still in place, so I called C1 to find out why no request was made. Answer, because I had received a refund from Klarna for a cancelled AirBnB they supposedly took the DD money that was due in September from the refund. Not sure how that worked as the money has been added to the new transaction, so I am keeping an eye out. I think it just means that I will be paying the same money but in October. The refund did not take the outstanding money and then just repay the remainder but the refund triggered a payment in so they did not ask for a DD payment. As I have said the money is in my bank account ready for “payment in full” but it will be in October.Paddle No 21:wave:0 -
