Norwich Train Station PCN

Hi,
I've just received 2 parking fines from a debt recovery agency. They are for fines for April 2024 at Norwich train station. Firstly I didn't receive the original PCN , the debt agency forwarded an email showing the letters allegedly sent in July.
Secondly the PCN sys that I was parked for an hour and 1 minute for each fine. I know that I dropped off and left within 5 minutes on each of these occasions.
I have found a thread on reddit with several people in the same situation, they all seem to have paid the fine, its 2 x £170.
Any suggestions?

A bit more information would help us to help you. As you are now here looking for real advice, perhaps the first place you should start is a read of the Newbies/FAQ thread.
You mention the word "fine" but that only applies if you have received a PENALTY Notice (PN), not for a PARKING Charge Notice (PCN). So, we first need to establish if what you have received is a PN or a PCN.
The second vital piece of information we need is whether you received a Notice to Owner (NtO) or a Notice to Driver (NtD) that was attached to the vehicle at the time or whether you received a postal Notice to Keeper (NtK).
The next piece of information we need is which unregulated private parking company issued the notice? Also, what was the date of the alleged contravention and what is the date on the notice when it was issued?
Ignore what you have read on Reddit as it is obviously populated by morons if they have simply paid. Please answer the questions if you want further advice.

Why on earth would ANYONE pay a scam private PCN? And why would these profile call it a fine?
Nobody pays these and it's not a fine.
However: your logbook isn't up to date with your new address, is it? Am I right? We suspect you forgot to update the address on your V5C when moving? That is what causes people not to receive PCNs. It's an offence not to have your V5C up to date.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
