My husband has booked a trip via Opodo, and signed up for a free trial of Opodo Prime as he did it.  It’s a 2-week free trial and the trip isn’t until November.  When he’s gone to cancel prime it’s coming up with warnings about loosing discounts, is this just for future trips, or will they charge him more for the one he has booked?  The discount is more than the prime membership, but would rather not have to pay an extra £99 if he doesn’t have too! Does anyone have any experience with this?   From what I’ve read afterwards, they sound really scammy and it’s my credit card he’s used! 🤦🏼♀️

They just want to keep you as a customer.
Cancel now and it won't affect your already booked trip. None of their benefits are worth £99 even for frequent flier..

Thanks John. We have now cancelled it. Painful process, over 40 minutes in the phone of them going through various offers to get us to stay!Newbie_John said:They just want to keep you as a customer.

I have just been away and booked through Opodo while I was away they took £89.99 out of my account. At no point did I authorise this payment or tick that I accepted it or Prime. How did you cancel your prime please? They are scammers, I spoke to them on the phone and the guy said under GDP laws they can do this. I have put a complaint into my bank.0

Did you choose the discounted prime fare?bigh210670 said:I have just been away and booked through Opodo while I was away they took £89.99 out of my account. If you did, you would have started your 15 day free trial of Prime Plus (at a cost of £89.99).
If you didn't cancel the trial within the trial period, of course they would have charged you.Discover even better flight deals | Opodo Prime UKSelect the Prime fareChoose the discounted Prime fare to begin your 15-day free trial and start saving instantly! 1

You should have been offered 2 different prices for your flight choicebigh210670 said:I have just been away and booked through Opodo while I was away they took £89.99 out of my account. At no point did I authorise this payment or tick that I accepted it or Prime.
 1) Discounted Prime fare with fee trial of Prime - then becomes membership unless you cancel within trial period
 2) Higher priced 'non-discounted' fare
Did you specifically select the non-discounted fare or did you select the Prime fare but did not read the terms before accepting them?0
