Existing debt levels, existing allowances, mortgages, repayment record, income, expense commitments (rent, mortgage, other debts, number of children etc.) Pretty much everything that has a financial impact on your life will be factored in to a greater or lesser extent.jamesaev said:When applying for a new credit card what factors affect the credit limit that the card issuer will provide?
That is on top of their own target demographic, so Amex will issue far higher limits than a brand like Capital One, but Capital One will issue cards to far more people than Amex.3
