What was her exact start date with her employer?
Would also need the expected date of birth from the MAT B1 to work things out.

I have type 2 diabetes and am not familiar with gestational.  Does she take insulin for it?  If so she may be entitled to some benefits.  There is a lot of helpful information on the Diabetes U.K. website.

If you’re thinking of PIP, if it’s if it’s gestational diabetes that clears up after the birth, then she wouldn’t qualify because the timescales of the health issue would not be long enough.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

gestational diabetes normally only requires monitoring and dietary care and usually completely resolves after - they are checked on later to ensure that all has returned to normal. problem with in the past was that the babies could be huge - my grandmother had it and delivered a 12 lb baby ... at home
  • I’ll try find out the exact start date.
i would like to thank you for your help

Anyway she is possible thinking now leaving in 2 weeks time but husband is not keen due to financial reasons.

Perhaps hubby could get a second job rather than expecting her to soldier on in her condition 🤷‍♂️

Has the employer issued an SMP1 to advise not entitled?
