Ikea Built in Wardrobe still smelling after 3 weeks

We bought a large built-in wardrobe a few weeks ago from Ikea. It consists of 6 seperate units, including a corner unit. My father in law and my partners sister purchased the same wardrobe a few months before us aswell but had no issues.

3 weeks on, the wardrobes still stink. At this point, I cannot tell if its a non-standard chemical smell or a wood smell that will disassipate over time.

I first cleaned it all with a lemon scented spray, but didnt work. I then left all the doors open, closed the door and opened the windows with a fan 24/7 for about a week and has made little difference. Today I cleaned it all again with baking soda & vinegar. Im completely a wits end. We spent 1.5 days building it and another day disposing of the mountain of cardboard, tearing it down is going to be a huge inconvenience.

Spoke to Ikea, they said if we pay their 3rd party service here in the UK (Taskrabbit) they will dismantle it and then re-build the new one. We would need to pay for it and then they will re-imburse us supposedly.

I guess at this point, I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced similar? Will the smell go away or is it long enough now that this isnt normal and that we should return it?
