Laptop for Graphic Design student

    For graphic design, I'd allocate some of the budget for a graphics tablet and pen, trying to do design in Photoshop with a mouse is a bad experience. 

    NB Academic licences for Photoshop are heavily discounted.

    I'd check the system requirements for Photoshop first. See https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/system-requirements.html to make sure the laptop is up to the job.

    Most software companies heavily discount software, or make it free, for academic use as they want to get the next generation of professional users into their platform. Get them used to it while a student and they will want to keep using it during their working life.
