Both pc and tv are in my bedroom. I have some avi files on my pc that I want to watch on my tv. What would be the most cost effective way of doing so? Preferably wirelessly.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I guess the Hauppauge Media MVP Network Media Centre would do it, though you might need to cross-encode an AVI to MPEG2. It's wired, but can work wirelessly.
For real cheapness would be hard to beat a graphics card with TV-out if you could live with having to cable it...0 -
Think the cheapest way would be to buy a divx player with a usb slot. This allows you to stick the films on a use flash memory card and watch them on your player which is around £30-£40
or
you could go for something like this

or wireless would be

I am looking into this myself but havent worked out the best way yet
Good luck0 -
A cheap and cheerful video sender might do the trick0

thanks for the suggestions. Will take a look at a wireless pc to tv sender but do these need a tv out on the graphics card anyway?
Do any of the medium range graphics cards have tv out as I am looking to upgrade my gfx card anyways. I currently have a pci-e slot but only a 6600gt.matched betting: £879.63

stream pc to tv?
I bought some cheap cables off ebay, and they work great. one goes into my "tv out" port on my laptop and the cable has a scart fitting at the end which goes into the back of my tv.
but remember you always have to go onto your graphics card settings (nvidia for me) and make sure it "sends" the picture to the tv. I usually select "clone tv" so that whatever is on the screen is viewable on both the laptop and the tv.
good luck!0
