Child's savings account where you can pay in / transfer in their name?

We currently have a child's savings account with Halifax (child is 1 year old), but you can't transfer into it using the child's name, it must be the parents for some reason.

Does anyone one know a child's bank account that you can pay into in the child's name for a 1 year old?

The Barclays children's accounts I'm the trustee for work with Confirmation of Payee on both the child's and my name. I have never tried but it could be the same for cheques.
