I’m assuming you’ve had meter changes before - perhaps from an old style dial meter to a digital one? Were you as unhappy about that too, because that really is all this is - a change of meter to one with newer technology. If you don’t want anything else to change then that’s fine - but if you did want to, then you would very likely have the option of paying less for your energy than you are currently.
