Has anybody bought one of those high pressure shower heads (as shown on Facebook)?

Hi all
question is in the title. For the 3rd time in as many days my finger has been very close to pressing ‘buy it now’ on one of those high pressure shower heads that ‘supposedly’ turn a trickle in to a powerful jet. The Facebook videos advertising these look sensational. Too good to be true. Any advice guys? We have a Campervan and naturally, there’s no real pressure. I was thinking of buying one of these high pressure heads.

Any advice guys?
Do I spend this £30 or are these clever marketed gimmicks?
Thanks in advance.

Gimmicks almost certainly and paid for user reviews.
For the campervan check out the Caravan forums for recommendations... Caravan Talk is one that has mostly sensible people on it as will the Clubs' forums.
Also look at the pump used in the van... they can come in different pressure and flow rates... it may be possible to improve your setup at the expense of using water faster (an issue will limited hot, and cold, water storage in caravans and campervans usually).1 -
This is one of them. I have been careful to remove the seller or site. Supposedly turns a trickle into an ultra powerful Jet.

I've had one for a couple of years.....Similar to this - Shower head - High pressure.
It's worked fine with no problems and compliments the rain shower head an fixtures. It certainly intensifies the jet at home, but, I can't comment on a caravan.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

A shower head cannot increase the flow or water, though it could decrease it.
A shower head cannot increase the pressure of water, though it could decrease it.
Therefore the only thing the head can do is push the same flow and pressure through a smaller hole, that would mean that the jet could go further by increasing exit velocity, similar to when one puts one's finger over the end of a hose pipe.
You could potentially fit a more powerful pump to the shower in the caravan, but then you might also find that the water supply would run out far quicker than you could shower.2 -
the same volume per second of water will come through the shower head it's just if the holes are smaller it will come out faster
however if the holes are smaller the shower heads will block up more often with scale etc1 -

There are some that claim to create the effect of a higher flow by mixing air into the water, creating droplets of froth. They are typically in shower heads designed to reduce the flow on high pressure shower.0

The only way I can think of to increase the pressure of the water coming out of a shower head is by reducing the number of holes the water can come out. But that would only work to a certain point, the rest of the perceived pressure would come from the placebo effect.

We had an EcoCamel shower head in our caravan which is supposed to entrain air to make it feel as though you are getting a higher pressure shower. TBH it was OKish in the van but works a lot better indoors where the water pressure is twice as high.
As others have said, the only way to increase pressure is to get a higher pressure pump which then has the risk of leaks and pipe failures. Fewer or smaller holes will make it feel as though you have a higher pressure and the water will squirt a bit further but you'll get less water.
Just think of putting your finger over the end of a hose pipe - the water will go further but you get less coming out
We use something like this in our caravan, the push lever helps save water and it gives a reasonable flow.https://camperwarehouse.co.uk/product/whale-compact-shower-handset-and-hose/. TBH you dont want vast quatities of water in a caravan shower when you've only got 8 litres of so of hot water in the tank.
The EcoCamel is now in our bathroom at home where it feels better than the original shower head. We don't get more water but it feels frothier (if thats a word). I wouldn't go out and buy one though as its not that much better and certainly not worth the money they charge for it.
