Mira or Triton electric shower?

Hi,

I'm planning to replace my electric shower.  Which brand is better, Mira or Triton?  I'm just getting a regular shower, no need any fancy features.

Thanks.

Don't think there is much difference in quality or reliability.
I fitted a Triton T80 Thermostatic shower a few years back. Not had any problems with it, and consider the thermostatic control well worth the money (but the price has gone up a lot since then).

Her courage will change the world.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

    Hi Sanovo.
As FreeBear says, unlikely to be a cigarette paper betwixt them in quality. Both are reputable.
If you can see them both in the flesh, say at a Wicks or B&Q, then check out the looks, the controls (how obvious and easy to use), and important stuff like the feel of the handset, its size, easy to clean nozzles, stuff like that.
The Triton mentioned seems to have ticked the boxes, and is also 'easy fit' (no idea if Mira is ditto) which means it should be easier to install as a replacement for a different make or model. The water inlet is turnaroundable on the Triton, and that's the most awkward part your installer won't want to be fiddling with.
Make and model of current shower? Photo? Worth checking where the water and leccy inputs are to it, and then going similar.
Finally, the power. The Triton has the full range, from 7.8 to 10.8kW, and the latter will be significantly more satisfying. But, your power cable will need to be able to handle it. That will need checking before going 'large'.
Who will fit this? What size do you want?
So, I'd go: 1) which one is the easiest replacement for your existing? 2) which one has the best controls? 3) which one the best handset? 4) and then things like the looks - does one look or feel more solid, better finished, stuff like that.

Triton showers, unless it's changed, have always been backwards compatible and just go on existing fittings if you get one fail down the line.

They always used to be good for spares

    Thanks for the replies.

My current one is Triton Osiris which has been discontinued.  I've several models that I'm interested in, just need to decide which brand.
  • Who will be swapping them?

  • I'll pay an installer.  Both Mira and Triton offer this service.
