    I'm a VAT registered sole-trader and I pay my VAT quarterly to HMRC by bank transfer from my business account. There is no charge for this.
    AFAIK, HMRC now also support Open Banking, meaning you can pull money from a current account into your HMRC account, free of charge. I use this to pay my private Self Assessment tax.
