Carflow PCN in disabled parking spot at Cambridge leisure

Hi, I've followed this forum and successfully swerved a railway apcoa ticket before.

This one looks harder though, I was at Cambridge leisure with my disabled daughter in a disabled spot outside Cambridge junction. It didn't occur to me to check further as I've never known a disabled spot to be chargeable in Cambridge, however having googled the sign it does state no exceptions for disabled parking.

I understand carflow are hard to beat and it looks like I'm banged to rights in this instance, is it worth appelaing with the standard template or just cough up?

TIA, Andy

Can we see the back please? I think I need a Carflow one for my NTK pictures thread.

Do NOT use a template for Carflow.

Send them a copy of the Blue Badge with a short explanation and a cheque or PO for £6 because (on the right of that page...look) that is what this NTK says is payable! Tell them this is full and final settlement because that is the 'sum payable' stated in this letter.

    THEN IGNORE THEM.

You have to treat Carflow differently.

Many thanks, I'll give that a try.
  • Hi would you mind sharing the appeal you sent, I’ve just received a ticket as like you didn’t realise with blue badge we had to pay, never had any issues previously parking here and stayed for under two hours with my disabled son with blue badge clearly displayed 🤦🏻‍♀️

If it's Carflow, don't look for an appeal to copy. Just write in your own polite words what happened and attach a copy of your Blue Badge and offer to pay £10 to cover the missing fee and minor admin at this stage.

  • Just had the same ticket myself.
Couldn't see the signs as it was pitch black, machine covered in plastic bag so not working, no sign to say you must pay via the app, I've got a blue badge...
Appealed it and told me tough I've got to pay. They also said they win 94% of appeals plus they're not associated to any ombudsman, diabolical con artist.
How to put people off from visiting the area.
I'll let them take me to court I think

Please show us that letter where they said this.

On this thread is fine as it is a Carflow thread and recent so it will inform the OP.
