Selling Own Property and Buying with Partner.

Hi! Seeking a little guidance on the process here.
I am selling my property (sole owner) to then purchase a new property  with my partner who sold earlier in the year.

Maybe I'm over complicating it, but how does it work with solicitors?
In the past when I bought and sold it felt like 'one process'.
In this case is it two more distinct processes?
1. Sale of my property
2. Purchase of our new property?

Maybe over thinking it but when the sale of this one is in the chain for the new how can that work?!

Thanks!

This is a simple sale & purchase.  The sale has one seller, and the purchase has two buyers...but sale and purchase are always separate transactions anyway.  Your solicitor will be in touch with the appropriate parties to coordinate your sale  and your purchase so that everything runs smoothly.

As above but make sure hat you have a deed of trust to protect you in case of partnership breakdown. it is also important that you complete wills.
