ASDA credit card. New cashback rates

Hello. I got an email from BE CLEVER WITH YOUR CASH this morning saying cashback cut on this card from 1% to 0.75% @ Asda and 0.33% to 0.2% elsewhere.

I had not received anything from Asda Money about this. Asked their live chat who confirmed these new rates to me.

Has anyone received anything from them, like I say I've had no communication. I'll be reaching for my scissors once balance paid off.

Thanks for flagging up. These are quite pathetic rates, completely kills it as a viable contender IMO.

Anyone using this for Asda supermarket (not fuel, sadly) spend should see if they're eligible for the Natwest/RBS Reward Credit Card instead - which will receive 1% cashback at all supermarkets (including Asda).

Asda website is showing 0.75% / 0.2%.  Nothing heard from JaJa / Asda yet though.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the discussion. 

We checked this with Asda and it told us that these lower rates currently only apply for new customers signing up from 2 September onwards - so if you got your card before that date, you should still get the 1%/0.3% rates (at least for the time being).
