Can some one help me out here
My wife has bought the light fixing in the link below, it recommends a certain type of filament bulbs to go with it, I thought they where the costly to run bulbs these days and LED bulbs are much more efficent, am I wrong here?
Complete lightbulb novice can anyone recommend some LED bulbs that will fit these without upping my bill?

led filament bulb
Plenty out there.Life in the slow lane0 -
As above - easily available - you just need to decide how much light you want.
I ordered these for a new light unit in the kitchen as they were old money equivalents of 75w:And these for a new light unit on the stairs/landing - using all 6:https://amzn.eu/d/aH6qFDFBoth have so far been very good.0 -
Soho Lighting do some really nice looking LED vintage/traditional bulbs https://www.soholighting.com/led-bulbs
The first fitting would suit a globe shape like they're showing on the product photos - something like https://www.soholighting.com/soho-lighting-7w-globe-g95-dim-to-warm-e27-clear-led-bulb
The second fitting would be a teardrop shape like https://www.soholighting.com/soho-lighting-7w-edison-st64-dim-to-warm-e27-clear-led-bulb
These have a warmer white colour, at 2700K - the colour tone is the most important part of picking a bulb. 3000K would be a cooler white, and 4000K gives an even cooler white which is better for task lighting. That is a personal decision - this has a good image about different light colours https://lightingdesignstudio.co.uk/colour-temperature/

With the light fittings you've linked you don't need filament light bulbs - as in the old type bulbs - the new LED filament bulbs will work just fine. The only time you have to be careful, is if you have a dimmer switch on the wall - that sometimes causes issues. But if your light switches are the regular on/off - then go ahead and get the LED ones, and all will be fine. If you do have a dimmer switch, then you have to actively choose dimmable bulbs.

Dimmable will work perfectly well with a regular on/off switch.Do you have a link to what was ordered? Or a photo of the box with the details of the bulb?0

Some argue they look nicer. They'll definitely work with what you have. What area are the bulbs going to be lighting? Small or large? Do you want bright light everywhere - or a subdued look?0 -
