Using my address?

My family member is homeless (he sleeps at different peoples houses).
He is about to inherit a lot of money- enough to help hime with his housing issue.
However he needs to have an address to go through all the legal side of things.
My question is - should I let him enrol on the electoral register at my address to help him out.
My concern is him taking out credit on my address-resulting in bailiff coming to my home.
Do you think this is an issue i should be worried about.

The mere fact that you mention it makes it clear that you don't trust him, so don't do it0

As above, debt is personal, not linked to an address.
He can register on the electoral roll at your address if he is homeless. He just needs to fill out the registration form
for someone with no fixed or permanent address

However that does not make it his address. It sounds like the executor of the estate or their solicitor is asking for proof of ID to make sure that they do not pay the substantial amount of money to the wrong person. Proof of ID is much more than just filling out that form.
He will need to provide them with whatever evidence they ask for.2
