Tesco Car Park (Managed by Horizon) Overstay Advice.

I've tried reading the stickies and FAQ's, but I'm still confused, so apologies if I've missed what I need somewhere.
On the 03/08/2024 I overstayed in a Tesco car part managed by Horizon, staying just over 4 hours and the letter is dated as the 08/08/2024. So far I've done nothing except take photo's of the parking signs, as I've been away and busy etc.
I had resigned myself to paying it, as it's late and to be fair, I did overstay and didn't notice the restrictions. However I did do a shop at Tesco's that day, so before i pay, I just thought it'd be worth checking quickly 1st.
Also, I genuinely didn't see the signs and when going back to get a photo of the signage the main sign as you enter the car park is obstructed by a tree branch, so that seems like a reasonable reason to appeal.
Photo's of the signs here:-

Is it worth trying to get it cancelled/appealing, or should I just pay up and learn for next time? Thanks.

Hello and welcome.
My first choice would be to visit customer services in the store, show them your receipt, show them your Clubcard so that they can see you are a valued customer and ask them to get the ticket cancelled.
Alternatively, I and others found this appeal worked very well against a Horizon pcn...This is an appeal by the Registered Keeper - No driver details will be given. Please do NOT try the usual trick of asking for driver details in order to get around the fact that your Notice to Keeper does not comply with Schedule 4 of The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.As there is no keeper liability, liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and so this will be an automatic win at POPLA. Please cancel this Parking Charge Notice or issue a POPLA code at which point you will auto withdraw.Within two weeks the following response was received from Horizon...Dear Appellant,
Parking Charge Notice: 00073****7
Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the above Parking Charge Notice, which we have reviewed.
I can confirm the Parking Charge Notice has now been cancelled and no further action will be taken in this matter.
Please note that once the Parking Charge Notice is cancelled the contact details are removed from the Parking Charge Notice and will not be retained for any purpose or shared with third parties. We are, however, required to retain images and appeal correspondence for a period of 2 years by DVLA and the BPA and are not therefore able to delete these from our system. You can review our privacy policy at https://horizonparking.co.uk/privacy-policy/ or you can request that a copy is sent to you in the post by contacting us at the address below, if you have any queries regarding your data.
Kind regards,
Appeals Department

I wasn't sure when the right to appeal would expire, so I just did it anyway just in case, as I'm on day 27.
Is it worth also trying the store route in the mean time or should I just leave it at that?
Thanks again. I appreciate the time and effort you and others contribute to helping people out here.0 -
This morning I received a penalty charge from horizonparking at our local Tesco. Attached were 2 photos of my car, entry one taken 18.46 on April 3rd and the second taken as exit at 11.33am on 4th April. This is totally wrong and I have appealed but, how do I prove it is wrong0

I also had a GP appointment on the 4th at 10.50am so could not have been in both places0
