I sent my review documents back in March. Recently called them because it's been so long, was told it had yet to be looked at.
Today I received a letter stating they have not managed to do my review. That they have extended my award to November 25 and if no review had taken place by them they may extend it again.
Glad to know it's been extended though odd they've not managed to review it in 6 months. Any ideas why?

You have really not looked very hard.
They are well behind in reviews (and all things DWP related such as Pension Credit)...

Wife's PIP review documents (award to end Sep this year) was returned in November last.
Got a 1 year extension letter last Saturday to end of September 25.

So that means a £10 fee for a Blue Badge lasting one year... and still no idea when the award review will be referred to a 'health professional' let alone a Decision Maker at DWP.
  • Some people have been waiting 12+ months. They are really back logged.

Still, i thought they hired more staff after covid backlogs?
  • No, there are still massive backlogs still sadly. I've got to send my review form in this or next week.

  • Yeah standard stuff...although late last year my review was done ultimately not that many weeks after the extension.

March isn't that long to be waiting compared to thousands, if not millions of other people. I returned my review form in November 2023, received a text at the start of Dec to say they'd received the form. Had 3 texts since then to say they still have my form and will process it as soon as possible. All texts indicate they still have my form and it hasn't been sent across yet.

In June my award was extended for up to 1 year. No decision yet.
