Gatwick parking fine Can not appeal

I just received a final notice in the post for gatwick drop off. my son took my car to drop off a friend and upon asking today he said he didnt even know there was a charge when entry and exit time was total 3 mins.
The notice says I have not informed them of a driver or appealed and I can not appeal at this stage. This is the FIRST letter I've received! there's no number to call them to discuss this no address or email. just payment options and it's at £100!
I would've happily paid whatever cost was required but this seems very unfair. I have to prove if I've made payment but who can prove the letter was sent. I'm annoyed because I'm not given any options? surely like a PCN they should give me a discount if I pay within a certain time but this is just bullying.
Can anyone help advice who or where I can contact now quickly I don't want this to escalate and cost any more money!
also...this was the first time my car has ever been to Gatwick! don't they have like a goodwill policy for people that may not be aware?

Are you the registered keeper who has received the PCN in your name? If so, stop trying to contact them and please tell us you have not identified the driver.

If you did not receive the original Notice to Keeper (NtK) and it is too late to appeal, you must complain to NCP. If you are not too late to appeal and the drivers identity gas not been blabbed, send the following, as the keeper, verbatim:

I am the registered keeper. NCP cannot hold a registered keeper liable for any alleged contravention on land that is under statutory control. As a matter of fact and law, NCP will be well aware that they cannot use the PoFA provisions because Gatwick Airport is not 'relevant land'.

If Gatwick Airport wanted to hold owners or keepers liable under Airport Bylaws, that would be within the landowner's gift and another matter entirely. However, not only is that not pleaded, it is also not legally possible because NCP is not the Airport owner and your 'parking charge' is not and never attempts to be a penalty. It is created for NCP's own profit (as opposed to a bylaws penalty that goes to the public purse) and NCP has relied on contract law allegations of breach against the driver only.

The registered keeper cannot be presumed or inferred to have been the driver, nor pursued under some twisted interpretation of the law of agency. Your NTK can only hold the driver liable. NCP have no hope at POPLA, so you are urged to save us both a complete waste of time and cancel the PCN.

If it too late to appeal, send an email to their complaints address with the same info but as a complaint by the keeper. Their AOS BPA Code of Practice (CoP) requires them to treat any complaint as an appeal if it reads as such.

No blabbing the drivers identity. There is no legal obligation on the keeper to identify the driver and you must decline to do so.

Oh, also have a read of the Newbies/FAQ thread for more background.

    It is not a fine.

Plan A is always a complaint to the landowner and your MP.

Plan B is to appeal, but since you cannot now do this, I suggest you follow the advice on this group thread that covers Gatwick and other airport drop-off scams schemes.

Do not pay, and since this is not relevant land where the keeper cannot be held liable, do not reveal the driver's identity.

You'll never have to pay this, just so you are aware.  Complain about the missing NTK then (if you are not offered appeal or if you lose at POPLA if made available) TOTALLY ignore them and the daft debt collector £170 threatograms.

Come back if they try a small claim for which a keeper who wasn't driving has a perfect defence: easy peasy.  Nothing to worry about.

NO PAYING IT. There is zero risk with us.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
