Bank account opening date and credit

I applied for a finance plan to pay for a larger purchase and it asked how long I had been with my bank for. I thought it was 8 years but when I checked my credit report I realised it was actually 7 years. Will this make a difference? Can the creditor see the date I opened bank accounts?

They can see them, I had this as a security check with someone, Co-Op maybe trying to do a switch, they asked for opening date of a current account and could evidently see all of the ones I had at the time. As an ID check it's hit and miss as many people won't remember exactly but if you have been with the bank 7 or 8 years, it isn't really materialpotentialhousebuyer said:I applied for a finance plan to pay for a larger purchase and it asked how long I had been with my bank for. People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
