Mixer Shower Temperature Issue
Comments

I am sure modern thermostatic showers have a thermostat so that people do not get scalded when some one else in the house turns on a cold tap reducing the cold supply to your basic controlled shower.pieroabcd said:Hold on, are you saying that there's a thermostat in the mixer? One more delicate component that can break any time? This comes as a shock to me.
I have the same problem with a different mixer. I think that I'll choose something purely mechanical and old style. Tried and true.0 -
I doubt you'll be able to buy a manual mixer these days, tho' I could be wrong. But, good point - I'd automatically assumed that the OP, Bloke's, mixer was thermo, but looking at his pic, that ain't clear. A thermo mixer will usually have actual temps indicated on it - 38oC, 40oC etc.If yours, Piero, is manual, then it will be worth opening it up and just replacing what is presumably a dual ceramic cartridge.Thermo is best, tho'.0

Or maybe they get scalded when it stops working correctly, as it happened to me.Ganga said:
