Morning again, it's fine here but has rained overnight.
Sorry to read that you're still not well Gers, this gut problem send to be hanging on a bit.
Hope you soon feel better Izzy.
Meeting a friend this morning for a catch up before she goes away somewhere warm until Christmas. Not much else going on.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, thinking of Mehefin and Dp1's little granddaughter, and anyone else who is poorly or sad.
Take care folks.11 -
Morning all, thanks for starting us off @scarlet. Hope you enjoy your chat with friend.Yesterday I avoided any nasty repercussions from food. I had two soft boiled eggs and a banana in the morning and then made some custard in the afternoon which I really enjoyed. I drank buckets of cooled boiled water too. Today I'll have something equally bland but more substantial. I lit the wood burner yesterday as I was feeling a bit chilly, it was so comforting. This morning I'm having the bright red BIAB taken off my nails. I had it put on for the party in Germany but am not keen on keeping it so will go back to a more natural / neutral colour. My cleaner is due so I need to tidy up the coffee table.@Izzy - I hope you're feeling a bit better today. @DP1 - my thoughts are with your lovely little one.10

Morning, another dull start here, weather wise and remmie wise. I really don't know what's wrong with me, I just can't shake off this feeling of impending doom. It's not like me, I keep telling myself I've got nothing to feel down about but it's not working.
Just some laundry to do today, hopefully the rain will stay away. Either pork chops or chicken for dinner tonight, will see what DH wants.
Izzy I hope you start to feel better today.
Dp1 thinking of your granddaughter.
Derek hugs
Love to all x10 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start Scarlet
Seem to be having a lot of things go wrong at the moment. Nothing major in the great scheme of things but I'm finding it difficult.
Mehefin, I know what you mean about these things seem to be so final. I cancelled my DH's bus pass but still can't throw it away, probably because it has his photo. I'll do it one day just not today.
Gers, Izzy hope you feel better soon.
DP1 hope little one continues to improve and is home soon.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I'm back with you (exhausted ++) after my few days in Scarborough with DD and the 3 DGDs. I have tried to read along on my phone but seem to have missed a lot of illness and sadness.
It was lovely to spend time with them all but by heck it was hard work trying to keep up with everything they wanted to do. The weather was kind in that we didn't get any rain but at times it was quite chilly. We managed a bit of time on the beach in the North Bay and next day the South Bay. As well as all the attractions in Peasholme Park, the only one I joined them in was a pedalo on the lake, but it was fun watching them! But crikey it's blooming expensive these days to go on everything!
I seem to have ended up with a mountain of washing. The first load is in and the lights will follow. I can't decide if it will get pegged out or not as I have heard conflicting weather forecasts and don't know which to believe.
Ive already had an early phone call from my DF in Oz with 2 lots of sad news of her in law relatives in the UK. When you get to our advanced age the bad news seems to come thick and fast. It doesn't do to dwell on it.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies and sad. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Good morning everyone
It's a chilly start here and we certainly had some rain overnight. Just wondering if my gardener will come today, I do hope so. He only does the lawns and the hedge but after a fortnight the grass looks very untidy. I can do most things in the garden except mowing, I can't seem to manoeuvre the mower around the edges or turn corners.
Popping into town later to do a little shopping and then back to my pile of ironing, the day holds much excitement.
Best wishes to the sad and poorlies
Take care x11 -
Hi everyone,
I'm glad you're feeling a bit better Gers, I hope you are too Izzy.
I came home on Monday, leaving Steve behind in Yorkshire. The rain had put paid to the rendering being done so I decided to cut my losses and come back because I have things to do. I'll go back on Friday and we'll go on to the Wirral for a couple of days with Steve's sister. Hopefully the work will be done today.
My house plants were looking a bit the worse for wear when I got back but they're recovering now.
Esben starts school tomorrow, most of the school goes back today but those children who attended nursery there don't go till tomorrow. I think it's so that the children who aren't familiar with the school can be shown the ropes. I think Esben needs it, he's been a bit of a handful the last couple of weeks.
Dp1, best wishes for little one and her mummy, this has really been dragging on for them.
Mehefin, hugs.
Have a good day.

Morning everyone
Bright blue sky here but it was chilly when I popped out to the bin.
Back to work for me today - not till 11.30 so I'll go down to mam and dads and then get the bus down from there. I'm trying working 5 afternoons instead of 4, at least till half term, to see if I can manage it. A couple of years ago I would have been there all day, every day but there's not a lot I can do about it, Long Covid seems to be here to stay!
Still no sign of DD and little one coming home. They waited till afternoon to do the blood tests she needs - then typically her sugars didn't drop low enough so they didn't do them - DD's hoping they will try again today. I feel sad that she's not getting to go back to school with her friends today, though little one knows that she's just not well enough - DD says she was exhausted all day yesterday. There must be a reason - it's just finding it.
Thank you as always to you all for thinking of her.
Gers - pleased to see you're improving, hope you are too Izzy.
Snoozer - I hope Esben enjoys his first day at school tomorrow - he'll be too tired to be a handful afterwards!
Right better make my packed lunch. Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Just a quick hello 👋 here
I spoke to soon about medical appointments and finished up taking DDad to the Drs cos he was worried about his knee being hot and more painful - it’s just the healing process (and cos he did too much as I thought) but at least he’s reassured.Just taking him to his favourite library in the next twin as he doesn’t like our local one - to be fair he’s right, the one he likes has a much better selection of his type of books and is more a traditional library. Our local one has gone all modern and seems to have more events than books.Craft work v. gardening this afternoon depending on the weather.Hope all the school returners have a good day and that little one can soon join her friends

Morning allJust got back from my physio appt. She's given me more exericises to do and let me choose whether I wanted to go back to see her again in a few months. We came to an agreement that I wouldn't go back but if things change I could self refer myself back to her. We also came to the conclusion that being more mobile now I'm not sitting at a desk most days has improved my knees, which makes perfect sense.Sorry to her some of you are having a sad time at the moment. {{hugs}} to you.To the rest of you onwards and upwards x8
