Help with an unresponsive solicitor

Options
I am both a beneficiary and an executor of my mother's will. My mothers house was sold on the 20th of July after a number of shambolic attempts to get it sold. Completion day was the 20th of July and the new owners have been living in the house from the same date.
On the 20th of July the solicitor informed me, there were only a few bits and bobs that needed doing which would take about 3 weeks.

The third week arrived and I called the solicitor's office to mention  the above and was told they would get him to ring me back.

The fourth week arrived and I rang again repeating everything that had been said previously. Again the secretary she would give him the message getting him to call me back.

It has now been six weeks. I sent the solicitor an email, and I've still not received a reply. As a beneficiary of the sale of the house I want to know why I haven't received my money and as an executor to the will which, includes the sale of the house, why I'm not getting a reply? I would like to know what I can do next? Thank you.

Best to continue with an existing thread. Otherwse a waste of people's valuable time. Unproductive as well.
  • Fair enough. I was just trying to comply with some of the suggestions to put it here.

Make a  complaint about the lack of response.

After my husband died I need my husband's will to forward to some financial organisations.

Requests to his office  always resulted in being told they would  pass a message to him.

A complaint about the lack of response and the dealy was holding up  settling the estate resulted in  it being forwarded immediately-  along with a statement that he had more important thijngs to  deal with.
