    It's sold as water resistant not waterproof, as noted above 5 bar rating isn't generally considered suitable for swimming. Obviously companies are generally a little cautious with ratings and not everyone swims as energetically as others but if you do want to be able to safely swim with a watch you should really look at a 10 bar resistance.
