Hi,
when closing down my OE v6 i keep getting the please compact your messages pop up
can this be turned off?
Dont want to compact my messages as last time i did it i lost all my emails and contacts!

You can't win.
If you compact you lose them. If you don't, you lose them.
I would suggest that you use OE backup as a matter of course any way,
If you are running XP SP2, then the answer is no, you can't turn it off, back them up and let compacting take it's course,, then you won't get the message for another 100 times that you close OE.0
