EBay searches

Has anyone else noticed quality of EBay searches gone downhill?
I collect football programmes (no comments please) so every so
often I have a session of searching for particular fixtures.  This morning my searches seemed to be throwing up sll
sorts of returns, one returned over 1000 matches, others bore very little similarity to what I’d put in the search box.  These are the same searches I always use that previously returned what I was looking for.

Yes. I've only noticed it fairly recently and it's almost as bad as an Amazon search now.

check that the eBay search doesn't automatically change the category you are searching in - rather than for example searching everywhere

Myself and soolin have commented in the past that the searches are manipulated.

Searching with different browsers or different devices will often give different results.

Years back an ebay item was shared but searching for the number the item name etc found nothing, goto the sellers items for sale
and again nothing listed.  But using the item number in the browser went straight to the item for sale.

I thought it maybe a scam at first but it was genuinely ebay and I bought it and it arrived promptly.
