What paint to use for wooden decking (in a wet part of the UK)?

I've recently moved into a new house, which has quite a bit of timber cladding and decking. Some of the paint is starting to peel and needs touching up/redoing, but I've no idea of the exact colour and type of paint I should be using.

Anything marked as decking stain or decking oil - the colour looks to have faded on yours anyway! I've used many different brands over the years and always found that it needs redoing very year, 2 at the most. On the handrails etc a 'normal' shed /fence stain should be fine (I use ones with a wax additive), or a garden paint if you want a total colour change, but they're not cheap1

I always use a preservative/stain for the bit of decking in front of my summerhouse. When I've used paint/coating type products on timber in the garden in the past, it always seems to end up peeling/flaking/cracking non matter how much time you spend on preparing the timber. A preservative that soaks in doesn't have this problem.
If it's pressure treated timber then it should last well without needing to try and keep water out. In fact any attempt at forming a completely waterproof coating to keep water out is likely to fail and end up just holding damp in the timber and preventing it from drying out.2
