Yes, if you phone HAAS they'll be able to tell you straightaway if the form has been received.

I wrang today and was informed they had received her UC50 form and that there was enough information so it had been passed to the decision maker as no assessment was needed, I'm not sure if this is good or bad but atleast we know they received the form.

    Thanks again for the info

It used to be that the only way that someone could fail a Work Capability Assessment after sending in a UC50 (or ESA50 for people on ESA rather than UC) was to undergo a face to face assessment. Covid changed that to a degree but I believe the person still has to undergo an assessment (usually a phone asssessment and arranged at least a week in advance) to fail a WCA.
The fact that the file has been returned to the DWP means that it's likely, in fact almost a certainty, that a paper assessment has taken place and the assessment provider has given the decision maker an opinion that your partner has either:
    1. limited capability for work
    2. limited capability for work and work related activity
Either way, the above will be good news although 2. is better than 1. as it attracts an additional amount of UC unless the person has been in continuous receipt of ESA or UC since before April 2017 (when both 1 and 2 can attract an additional amount of UC).
