premier travel inn is about £67 and is pretty central0

Etap hotel for £35 must be classed as good value.

There is an Ibis and Novotel right in the centre, the Hotel Bristol also gets good marks from those that have stayed there0

Etap is not in the center but a short tram ride to the centre, Ibis and travelodge will be closerI have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0

etap will probably be a lot cheaper than the ibis / novotel.. unless you can get some great offer price...
personally, i'd stay at the etap, i've stayed at the one in leeds, and it is basic, but it is a good hotel...0 -
If you only want a single room consider the Grosvenor House. Book online direct with Corus Hotels and they have the night you want at £27 B&B. Now a lot of local folks will say it's a dump and I would agree it needs a refurb but if you only want clean sheets and a shower I think it's a bargain.
It's just over the road from my office and if I'm off on a night out and can't drive home it's a handy central location from where you can walk anywhere in the city centre.
I personally would be wary of the location on the previously mentioned Bristol as it's slighlty out of the centre and I would not want to walk back late at night, it would only be a £4/5 taxi ride tho'.0 -
I have stayed at the Etap - its close to the big shopping centre if u plan on shopping.
It is basically outside the sheffield arena - so lots of people stay there for concerts, etc.
There is a beefeater/harvester pub across the road.
It is a short taxi to the center, didnt cost that much if i remember correctly.
Nice, clean, tidy room.0 -
We stayed at travel lodge before xmas and had a fab time. Rooms sleep up to three. You can get the supertram from station for £1.10 get off at ponds forge?? about three stops and hotel just dowm the slope. or if you are driving car park next door and you get a special rate.0

I went in April, and stayed at the City Crash Pad apartments. Dead central (on West St and perfect for the tram), and I was really impressed. Much cheaper than a hotel room at the time (mine was a last-minute booking!)0
