TSB Spend and Save Account - Unable to send money to new TSB account

I've recently begun the switch to TSB to take advantage of their £100 + £90 offer.

I've activated my account today and it's all up and running.  However when I attempt to send money to the new TSB account, I get a text message (from the account I'm sending the money from such as Chase and HSBC) stating that the money cannot be sent as the account doesn't accept payments.  Tried to send £5 it failed so tried £1.

How on earth am I supposed to meet TSB's requirements of making 5 debit card transactions per month if they wont allow me to send money to it.

    Something is wrong somewhere. so go on their website, and presumably they have a on line chat line. go into that and ask the question. probably shut now for the weekend.

    Yeah annoying. I've set up the app and can't find a way to view my pin either.  Are they still in the dark ages and can only offer to post out a reminder?  Christ why can't banks get with it and put in the features that Chase has.  Just let me view the bloody pin via the app!

    Do debit cards word contactlessly straight away?  Or does the first transaction need me to put the PIN card in?  I was planning on buying 5 cheap things at the supermarket later today in order to meet the criteria of 5 card transactions

    I like most people have various pin numbers. they are all numbers of one sort or another, that mean or have meant something to me. I keep them in a book which I keep in this desk. it never leaves this desk. we never used to have to worry about these things, but now we do.

    That's fine when you've received a pin number to begin with.  TSB have not bothered to send me the PIN in the 6 letters they've sent to me so far.

    Just to return to this one;

    Need to know as I'll take the card out with me later.

    TSB's IT systems are notorious for having bugs in them. You just have to keep on speaking to people until you actually find someone who knows what they're doing

    You can't view the PIN in the app, but be grateful that you can at least order a reminder in the app.  With Nationwide, you have to log onto internet banking to order a PIN reminder, you can't do it in the app.
