Admiral building insurance policy

Platinum policy paying £322.53 per year.
Policy includes add ons including Family legal protection and home emergency extra cover.
I called Admiral and asked the advisor if I claim on the building insurance that would obviously be a claim which would effect any future renewal however would the same apply if I use the add ons?
Do they class as a claim as It would when claiming on the building insurance?
Not sure what the adviser knew what I was asking and just started reading off a script about what I can use home emergency cover for.
Anyone know the answer?
