Pet Insurance Premium Increase

My insurer (Many Pets) has upped my premium again. The numbers suggest that I'm refunding them all claims in the next years premium as the conditions claimed are "one offs" such as gashes in the pads or viral infections and not on-going costs.
Pet Plan claim they don't adjust the premium based on claims. Are there any other insurers who have a similar "guarantee"?
Secondly. Thinking I may just insure against the big ticket items - Cancer; Arthritis; Accidents - and handle all minor bills myself. Are there any policies that are geared towards that or any that allow large excesses such as £1k

Petplan, Agria and the Kennel Club all do not increase premiums based on claims.
They do increase premiums based on increased running costs, age of dog etc.
You pay a higher regular premium due to this.
Excesses do increase when a pet reaches a specific age, usually 8 years old
Tesco offer you the option to pay a higher excess. There may be others. You would need to do an online search of companies and check them out.1
