Can anyone help. My father in law has recently passed away and we’ve found some old share certificates from 1992 and 1994 for National Power PLC. Would anyone know who we can look to contact to see if they are still valid? Many Thanks

They aren't valid anymore as National Power became other companies which would have had different share certificates. If there are no other certificates he probably sold the shares some time ago and retained the old certificates for record keeping or posterity without realising the wild goose chase it could cause down the line.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.2

"On 2 October 2000 following investor pressure the company demerged into two separate companies Innogy, which was responsible for the UK based operations, and International Power, which took over the international operations.[5][6][7] Innogy is now known as Npower and is owned by RWE while International Power is owned by Engie.
