Hi,
Sorry about the previous message that was a mistake. My purpose was to open a new thread since I am a Belgian just settled in NY for a couple of weeks. Of course many things are new to me here, and there is a lot that I struggle to undertand, starting with credit cards ! Actually I am planning to travel quite a lot in the Americas in the coming months, and I'd like to enjoy a good insurance coverage in case anything happens... I saw on this page that many credit card include a fair travel insurance coverage. However, I was wondering if this is really enough to travel with peace of mind...
Which is why I wanted to ask you guys if you recommend me a special credit card, or just to purchase a separate travel insurance policy to complete my future card's guarantees...
Thanks a lot if you can bring me guidance on that
Take care,
Al

This is a UK site so won't be much insight into US products here I'm afraid.2

I would always want separate travel insurance.I have it on my Amex card - but I don't think it's as comprehensive as our AXA deal. You might like to call Amex in the USA to enquire on specifics........and other providers likewise.I'm not sure if being a foreign national might complicate matters ?

Its an ok policy, includes hire car excess protection which is an unusual but positive thing, however given the target market of those that get it, and in particular the Centurion customers, its limits are reasonable but not great.0
