Do you think the garage will be amused when they return the courtesy car ?1

I won't deny it, the title:
dangerously parked shopping trolley
made me chuckle.
Responses are as would be expected, so little point me parroting what has always been said. Just a classic case of humans natural propensity, our self defence mechanism, to always attribute blame anywhere except ourselves.Know what you don't5 -

Hopefully there's CCTV then Sainsbury's can revoke someone's trolley licence.

Well you certainly couldn't blame the OP for never returning to the forum given some of the responses given.
I doubt very much that there is any liability on Sainsbury's. How bad is the damage and whose insurance is it currently on and therefore what excess is likely to be involved. Courtesy cars (and credit hires) can have eye watering excesses.0 -
..trolleys are renown for being dangerous when left alone, and they can regularly jump out when you are least expecting it.100% Sainsburys responsibilty, and they should take full responsibilty for this.....did you check to see if the trolley had full insurance cover and a valid MOT and tax??...if not, it may be worth reporting to the local police..."It's everybody's fault but mine...."1

Presumably the courtesy car came with some insurance ?
Or was it just basic insurance and you pay for any damage. Could be expensive.0 -

There is precedence about carts hitting cars stationary and where liability lies, may be be difficult if you drive into it.but they still have a responsibility to keep the area safe and free of dangerous objects.
