Now tv landline 1471 last caller

I tried to use the 1471, last caller service yesterday and got the message 'sorry the service requested is not available from this line!' Ive been with Now for landline and broadband for the last 2 years , prior to this it was with Sky.  Is it something i have to contact them for to actually activate it or should it be available from the start? Ive tried to telephone Nowtv, broadband & landline and i'm struggling to get anyone to talk to about it!

Anyway, when i get  incoming calls i have still got skyshield giving various options to press and to press 1 if i want to take the call. This morning i received a call i was expecting and when i answered i heard the person i was expecting who gave me her name but then when i pressed 1 there was complete silence. The caller then phoned my mobile number and told me that my phone was on hold. This happened a couple of weeks ago too.

I dont know if the two problems are related and linked to the fact that i still have skyshield on my phone? But then again ive only recently had this second issue happening!

That’s really strange. I thought that all providers have 1471. It may be worth giving them a call to find out.
