Unusually high gas usage

    I called the emergency number and helped identify one of the gas fireplaces to be causing the gas leaks. Explains why there was never any smell either.

    All safe now, the numbers look stable over the last hour.

    Thank you all for your kind advice, made it so easy! 
    @prognostic out of curiosity have you had to pay for the leaked gas or has your supplier refunded you (or split the difference)?
  • They are yet to come back to me as a follow up to my contact last week.

    I doubt I will get a refund from the supplier based on what I read on the internet. Worth trying?

    Wouldn't bother, as it was downstream from the meter.
    Bit like going back to a petrol station because you had a leaking fuel tank, it's not their fault.

    Doesn't hurt to ask. The worst they can say is no. On the other hand, they might offer a small amount of compensation.
