Hello from a very rainy Mehefinland
I am convinced the weather forecasters look out of the wrong window when they put their forecast together. Today is supposed to be sunny intervals for me - its chucking it down!!
The hunt continues today for the elusive marriage certificate. I may have to resort to ring them to explain the situation, although I suppose I have loads of time to continue the hunt. It's so frustrating as I know we saw it some months ago, and even had a little joke about it.
Not got a lot of get up and go today... spending too much time wandering around the interweb aimlessly.
Had a lovely card and a cheque from Dawn's aunt and cousin which will go in the charity pot. Her cousin was our bridesmaid 44 yrs ago, A pretty blond lass at the time. I haven't seen her in years, at least 15 if not longer. I doubt if I would recognise her today.
Need to go and let next door's dog out for a wee. she went of to work at 6.15 at a care home. Long days, and the poor dog is SO good. I do worry about him sometimes, but he seems quite unconcerned as a rule. he is a x between a Rhodesian Ridge back and a Staffie. He's BIG!! but a gentle soul.
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning everyone
Gers - I'm dying to post that little one is home, but unfortunately not yet. They're still trying to get her feed just right so her blood sugars are under control. DD says she spent most of yesterday upset as the play lady came to take her to the playroom, but she'd just been so tired she couldn't be bothered to play but really wanted to.
After that she'd cried every time some one went near her. I think she's just so ready to be home now, they both are.
I had a nice couple of hours with my friend yesterday, repeating it this afternoon with another friend. This morning I need to go for some shopping - I don't need much but it includes milk so I'll get the bus back up home.
Camelot I hope your new little one is home soon too
DDs little kitten is running around like a crazy thing. Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Morning all, actually blue sky here, only 13 degrees at the moment though. We are going into M/cr today on the train to meet some friends for lunch in a nice pub. I thought it wasn't going to happen as Ly1apup woke me at 5.45. She was really unsteady on her feet and wanted to go out for a wee etc. but her legs were all over the place. I know she's getting old and rickety, unless she'd been in 1 position too long when asleep.. I waited until DH got up and gave her breakfast, then tried a little walk across the road, she seemed ok with that. We'll just have to see how she goes. Fortunately DS1 is at home today to keep an eye on her.I tidied my wardrobe yesterday, chucked a few bits and put some aside for CShop. Put most of my summer clothes away!Probably won't need much tea after a late lunch.Mehefin I read yesterday in the newspaper that sunflowers are very considerate of their neighbours as they alter their position so they all get some sun, & can appear to dance
Hope you find the certificate.
Right better go and sort out something to wear, take care everyone.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9 -
Morning, gosh I feel as though I'm late to the party.
Yesterday my shopping dilemma was made up for me as dh wanted to go to b&m for brush cleaner and lidl is just around the corner. I was quite pleased as I got a few bargains.
So today will be spent rearranging the freezer as I just threw everything in and it drives me mad if it's in a mess. Likewise the fridge.
I haven't been to b&m's in a while and was surprised to see the amount of spices and air fryer coatings, so some money was spent there.
Derek, I hope you find the certificate, I've told DH where ours are kept, but whether he listened is a different matter! I must admit up to now I could take or leave sunflowers, but now I think differently thanks to you and your love for Dawn.
Oh well, off to do the freezer shuffle.
Love to all x8 -
Rosie red - I never know that about sunflowers- they say you learn something every day!
Remmie - glad to see I have spread some enlightenment
STOP PRESS : Have found the sustificate. Not at all where I expected. so a big load off.
Undertaker rang to say they have Dawn's ashes and i can collect any time . Brought it all back with a bump. had a little something in my eye moment. They can wait there for a bit until DS and I have decided how/where/when etc.

Glad you’ve found it Mehefin
I’m in the process of making what I cheerfully called a “Snuff it folder “ for my DS ,my only surviving child and will put mine in there with our birth certificates ,just in case he should need them .
Thank you x11 -
Evening all from Bridgwater. DSis and I have walked this past week from Gloucester on the latest leg of our JoGLE. We are at a seriously ropey guesthouse this evening so good job we did 16 miles today and are exhausted enough to sleep 😳
Hugs to @mehefin, @dp1’s DGD and @camelot1001’s DGD.
Tomorrow Taunton!
