Ultimately it will be down to a judge to decide that or not but certainly the insurers will take a similar stance to you

Or being devils advocate 
it will show you were at the location and that there was movement, then you stopped

on its own that wont change much

Maybe, I wouldn't rely on it. Those things are not very accurate at the best of times, and depending on the data it collects and the frequency with which it collects it, it might not have captured the event. They also use GNSS for positioning, and it's only accurate down to a few metres in the basic, cheap receivers they use, so may not show which lane you were in etc.
